This research aims to delve deeper into the management and development of productive waqf and its strategies in Islamic boarding schools in Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The research is limited to the Al-Ihsan Riau Waqf Foundation, which manages productive waqf and supports one of the largest Islamic boarding schools in Kampar Regency. This study employs a field research approach with a qualitative descriptive methodology. Data analysis is conducted using the Qualitative Data Analysis (QDA) approach with the assistance of NVivo 12 Plus software. The assets of the foundation are dedicated to implementing religious education based on Islamic boarding school principles. In managing its waqf assets, the foundation focuses on strengthening its organizational system. This includes enhancing the quality of waqf trustees (nazhir), managing waqf asset administration and inventory, as well as organizational management. The Al-Ihsan Riau Waqf Foundation manages waqf through monetary and cash waqf, and also develops productive waqf by establishing business units such as Ahsanta Mart, Ahsanta Cafe, Ahsanta Agro, IBS Business Center, micro sharia financing, and an LPG gas station. To ensure the existence of assets and the sustainability of waqf benefits, the foundation employs several strategies. First,
it focuses on building transparency and accountability. Second, it optimizes waqf through monetary contributions to accelerate infrastructure and facility development. Third, it maximizes cash waqf as a means to enhance businesses and the independence of the Islamic boarding school. Fourth, it optimizes the distribution of waqf, zakat, and educational donation programs for scholarships and human resource development. Fifth, it builds a waqf ecosystem and partnerships with economic protection policies. The main core competence of the waqf benefits lies in providing Islamic boarding school-based education. The foundation also fosters the establishment of more than 30 mosques and prayer halls around the Islamic boarding school, offers scholarships to 289 students, collaborates with preachers, utilizes waqf infrastructure for various religious, social, and communal activities, provides healthcare services for the students, and empowers the economy through partnerships and consignment models with the surrounding community.Keywords: Management, Development, Islamic Boarding School, Strategy, Productive Waqf.
